The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is celebrating Earth Day 2022 from April 18 to April 22 with a week full of engaging events hosted by a variety of student organizations. This week is a partnership between the Campus Events Board, Student Government, and the Office of Sustainability. Our goal with the week long celebration of Earth Week is to celebrate, educate, and connect the different facets of environmentalism on campus. Food, plants, and other goodies will be provided by community partners for all participants within the UTK community.
The week will culminate in the Earth Day Festival on Friday April 22nd, an outdoor celebration held in the Student Union Plaza beginning at 7:00pm. The evening will kick off with a Sustainable Fashion Show sponsored by the UTK Free Store, featuring a variety of different up-cycled pieces created and styled by members of the campus community.
Any student organization or department interested in hosting an event as part of Earth Week, or being involved in the festival itself can sign up at the link here by Friday, April 15th.
