Funding Proposals

Do you have an idea that would make campus operations more sustainable?

You can receive funding for your sustainability-related project that benefits campus operations by submitting a proposal below. Unsure about what kind of proposal to submit? You can submit a rough draft and work with someone in the Office of Sustainability on creating a full proposal!

Please note that only projects that make campus operations more sustainable or directly benefit the students, faculty and staff at UTK are eligible for funding.

Please look at the Funding Guidelines found on this document to ensure your proposal aligns with the intent of this fund.

Please download and fill out the proposal template above and submit it via the online form below. 

The Student Environmental Initiatives Committee (SEIC) meeting dates and submission deadlines for the 2026-27 school year are posted below. All meetings will be 4-5pm on Zoom: https://tennessee.zoom.us/j/84159811901 
All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend these meetings.

Proposals should be submitted by the deadlines below to be considered for the next meeting.

NOTE: If you have submitted a proposal for funding, you should receive a confirmation email and a calendar invite to attend the next scheduled meeting. If you do not receive a confirmation email or calendar invite, please send an email to [email protected] and [email protected] to follow up. Please plan to attend the next scheduled meeting and give a brief 2-3 minute presentation on your proposal and answer questions from the Student Environmental Initiatives Committee (SEIC).
