Now Recruiting for AmeriCorps positions at Office of Sustainability

The UTK Office of Sustainability is actively recruiting AmeriCorps positions for the 2022-2023 service term. This is a unique opportunity for graduating individuals interested in a career in sustainability, environmentalism, and community service. Past service members have come from a variety of different educational backgrounds, but the common denominator is that they are all committed to help foster sustainability on our campus.

There are lots of opportunities for professional development at the Office of Sustainability including the ability to develop project management skills, experience with sustainability metrics, GHG reporting and the list goes on. A service year with AmeriCorps in the Office of Sustainability allows for the growth of skills that you have learned at UTK while also making orange green!  Members are encouraged to attend conferences, such as The Global Conference for Sustainability in Higher Education, where they can expand their education on sustainability initiatives happening around the world. In addition to professional development, members that serve at UT also have the availability to use resources and connections provided by the University towards accomplishing meaningful projects.

Available Positions:

We’re looking to fill three of seven positions currently: Academic Engagement Coordinator, Alternative Energy and Transportation Coordinator, and Data Analyst and Office Administrator

Applicants will apply to CAC AmeriCorps first, and will then be passed on to our office, who will contact you for an interview. Links to apply can be found on each position page, or by clicking here
