Green Fee Proposals

Do you have an idea that would make campus operations more sustainable?

Supported by the UT Student Green FeeYou can receive funding for your sustainability-related project that benefits campus operations by submitting a proposal below. Unsure about what kind of proposal to submit? You can submit a rough draft and work with someone in the Office of Sustainability on creating a full proposal!

The Fall 2024 Green Fee Committee Meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of each month (Sept 3, Oct 1, Nov 5, and Dec 3) at 4pm at this Zoom link.
All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend these meetings.

Proposals should be submitted at least 8 days before scheduled meetings to be considered for the next meeting.

NOTE: If you have submitted a proposal for funding, you should receive a confirmation email and a calendar invite to attend the next scheduled meeting. If you do not receive a confirmation email or calendar invite, please send an email to sustainability@utk.edu and jayprice@utk.edu to follow up. Please plan to attend the next scheduled meeting and give a brief 2-3 minute presentation on your proposal and answer questions from the Green Fee Committee, officially called the Student Environmental Initiatives Committee (SEIC).
